Our project question is:

What was so special about the Sumerians?

Have a look at our project letter below, for even more information about what we will be learning.

  • We will be reading 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Oliver Jeffers and rewriting our own stories based on this model.
  • We will develop our descriptive writing focusing on noun phrases.
  • We will identify nouns and adjectives.
  • Use commas and exclamation marks.
  • Plan and edit our own writing.

  • Mental maths skills (including number bonds/times tables)
  • Place Value -  looking at the value of digits
  • Addition and subtraction - using jottings and written methods
  • Multiplication and division - using our knowledge of our times tables and equipment to help solve calculations

This half term our Science topic is:

Living Things and Their Habitats

We will be thinking about the classification of animals linked to our past Summer science lessons and thinking about questions such as:

  • How do we classify insects and animals?
